Announcing the Grand Finale at Willows-Edge
"We have enjoyed the Registered Holstein industry for well over 40 years. Many trophies and Premier Breeder banners. We again have a barnful of young cows, about 80, and pens full of youngstock (100) that encompass our breeding philosophy. Our official BAA in February of this year was 111.1. Our recent special classification of 43 cows added 13 new Very Good 2-year-olds, 7 new Excellents and 9 Excellents raised in score. We have three 3-year-olds that maxed out at EX-92: Willows-Edge Doorman Breezy, Willows-Edge Crush Kenni and Willows-Edge Diamondback Mimicry."

Holstein Plaza Members earn Top BAA Honors
Holstein Plaza Members Triple-T Holsteins, Duckett Holsteins, and Willows-Edge Holsteins have earned Top BBA Honors from Holstein USA. The Holstein Breed Age Average (BAA%) value provides a way to compare the score of an animal (and herd average) to the average of the breed, taking into account age of the animal and stage of lactation. All animals receive an individual BAA value on your herd classification report, and herds participating in the Classic or Standard options of the Holstein Classification program receive an overall BAA for the herd.
Triple-T Holsteins was ranked 6th overall, 2nd in Region 2, and 5th in the 10-25 cow herd size category.
Duckett Holsteins was ranked 9th overall, 2nd in Region 5, and 1st in the 51-75 cow herd size category.
Willows-Edge Holsteins was ranked 8th in the 76-150 cow herd size category.

All-National Nominations
Holstein Association USA released their All-National Showcase Program which is designed to recognize U.S. Registered Holstein® cows and their owners for exceptional performance at National Holstein Shows. Multiple Holstein Plaza Members and their cows were awarded All-National and Reserve All-National titles and many Members were awarded as Top 10 Honorees.
Oakfield Corners was awarded the All-National Breeder and All-National Exhibitor Titles, as well as earning the All-National Four-Year-Old title with Oakfield WB Tiffany. Tiffany was the Grand Champion Holstein and Supreme Champion Cow at the 2019 All-American Dairy Show in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Oakfield Corners also exhibited the Reserve All-National Summer Junior Two-Year Old title with Oakfield Byway Ms Taboo and the Reserve All-National Senior Three-Year-Old title with Ms Smith-Oak PW D Millie.
Duckett Holsteins also owned multiple All-National and Honoree titles including the Junior Three-Year-Old All-National Title with Fraeland Doorman Bonnie, who was the Honorable Mention Intermediate Champion at the Midwest Spring National Holstein Show.
Other Holstein Plaza members and animals they bred won awards including MD-West-View Genetics, Willows Edge Holsteins, Triple T Holsteins, Midas Touch Genetics, Golden Oaks Farm and Stranshome.

Willows-Edge Real Mink-Red was the topseller at the Willows-Edge Dispersal Sale, selling for $37,500. Mink was the unanimous All-American Winter Calf 2015 and Nominated All-American Winter Yearling and sold 10 days fresh. In total 175 animals sold during the Dispersal Sale averaging $3,166.

Exciting classification update from Willows-Edge Holsteins
Willows-Edge Holsteins is excited to share the results of the recent classification. The BAA is now 111.6 and the herd now consist out of 33 very good first lactation cows (out of 43 1st lactation cows total) and 107 out of the 120 cows score very good or excellent for the udders. The 2-Year-Olds were primarily sired by Atwood, Goldsun ,Sid, Absolute and Golden Dreams. Some of the highlighst included Willows-Edge Atwood Frasia EX-91 as a 3-Yr-old! Frasia is an Atwood granddaughter of Willows-Edge Bolton Flicker EX-94, who now completes 8 generations of Gold Medal Dams!

Willow’s Edge reports exciting Classification Highlights
Willow's Edge reports the results of an exciting classification which includes 15 new Very-Good two-year-olds with several impressive daughters sired by Atwood, Goldsun and Absolute. At Willow's Edge they praise the youthfulness of their Atwoods! There were also 6 new Excellents including three sired by Atwood. Willows-Edge Atwood Vagrant raised her score to EX-93 with 93-MS, Willows-Edge Mac Frosting also raised her score to EX-93 94-MS. The herd now consists of 44 EX, 59 VG and 2 GP for a 111.7 BAA.

A tremendous day for Willows-Edge Holsteins yesterday during the District 1 Holstein Show. Willows-Edge who had several class winners was named premier breeder and exhibitor of the show and also took home the Grand Champion Banner. Wilows-Edge Dundee Impulse was the Grand Champion & Intermediate Champion during yesterdays show. Reserve Grand was the Sr. Champion Indeanhead Destry Calina exhibited by Indianhead Holsteins.

Holstein Plaza welcomes Willow's Edge as a member. Located in New Richmond, WI, the herd of Willow's consist of 55 Excellent and 55 Very Good cows at the moment and over the years have bred 329 Excellent cows. Willow's Edge will be hosting the Wisconsin Holstein Celebration Picnic on Sunday August 2nd and during this Picnic they will host the Willow's Edge TAG Sale with 60 lots selling. Some of the highlights of the TAG sale will be Willows-Edge Bolton Flicker EX-94, MDF Goldwyn Breezer EX-91 (maternal sister to Rainyridge Talent Barbara EX-95) and many other VG and Excellent cows!
