Habitan influence continues at AOT
The influence of Cookiecutter DTA Habitan VG-89 DOM continues for the AOT Genetics breeding program. Holstein USA released the High Ranking Genomic Young Bulls for March 2021 yesterday including four from AOT Genetics with three being granddaughters of Habitan. Also released yesterday was the High Ranking Genomic Young Females for March 2021 and of the Top 200, 20 were sired by AOT Silver Helix. Congratulations to David King, Midas Touch Genetics and Tom Kugler for the continued success and influence of the AOT Genetics program.
North American Open Holstein Show Results
The North American Open Holstein Show 2020 is underway at the Pickaway Ag & Event Center in Circleville, OH. The class winners and Champions for the day will be selected by judge Mike Berry, WA, with Alan Berry, WA serving as the associate. Holstein Plaza Members are on-site and competing today. All-National Nominations
Holstein Association USA released their All-National Showcase Program which is designed to recognize U.S. Registered Holstein® cows and their owners for exceptional performance at National Holstein Shows. Multiple Holstein Plaza Members and their cows were awarded All-National and Reserve All-National titles and many Members were awarded as Top 10 Honorees.
Oakfield Corners was awarded the All-National Breeder and All-National Exhibitor Titles, as well as earning the All-National Four-Year-Old title with Oakfield WB Tiffany. Tiffany was the Grand Champion Holstein and Supreme Champion Cow at the 2019 All-American Dairy Show in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Oakfield Corners also exhibited the Reserve All-National Summer Junior Two-Year Old title with Oakfield Byway Ms Taboo and the Reserve All-National Senior Three-Year-Old title with Ms Smith-Oak PW D Millie.
Duckett Holsteins also owned multiple All-National and Honoree titles including the Junior Three-Year-Old All-National Title with Fraeland Doorman Bonnie, who was the Honorable Mention Intermediate Champion at the Midwest Spring National Holstein Show.
Other Holstein Plaza members and animals they bred won awards including MD-West-View Genetics, Willows Edge Holsteins, Triple T Holsteins, Midas Touch Genetics, Golden Oaks Farm and Stranshome.
Results: Mid-East Fall National Shows
Judge Chad Ryan selected Ms-Aol Dback Raelynn-Red as the Reserve Intermediate Champion of the Mid-East Fall National R&W Show for owners Mecuro Farms. During the Mid-East Fall National Holstein Show, S-S-I Doc Have Not was pulled to win the Milking Yearling class for owners Midas Touch Genetics. Later in the show Mecuro Farms also exhibited the 3rd place Senior 3-Year-Old, Jacobs Doorman Brit-ET. Congratulations to all our members who have exhibited animals this week!
NEW DONOR for Kings Ransom and Midas Touch
EX-95 95-MS Ms D Apple Danielle-Red has been added to the donor lineup for Kings Ransom Farm and Midas Touch Genetics. Danielle-Red has a decorated record that includes multiple All-American nominations, several Grand Champion titles at National Shows, and two sons in AI. Watch for Danielle-Red in the Production Class at World Dairy Expo.

Holstein Plaza Member Classification Highlights
Over the past month, Holstein Plaza Members have had great success with Holstein Classification. Over 15 two-year-olds owned by our members scored Very Good-86 and higher.
