Fantastic May for the Cosmopolitans!
The Larcrest Cosmopolitan family keeps impressing. This week the family delivered the new No. 1 GTPI sire in the breed, DG Charley scores GTPI+2826 (preliminary numbers) and is a Cogent Supershot son from the Mogul daughter of Larcrest Cale VG-89-2YR DOM. A week earlier the family delivered a GTPI+2684 Supershot son from a Headliner granddaughter of Larcrest Cosmopolitan, who also has two full sisters over GTPI+2600. Also in North America the family keeps delivering fantastic results, during the May run Sandy-Valley Cloud Nine topped the charts with a dazzling GTPI+2767 and the No. 2 of the May run was a Powerball granddaughter of Larcrest Cale who scored GTPI+2758! From the same maternal line as Cloud Nine was the No. 3 GTPI bull of the May run, Sandy-Valley Crackshot GTPI+2719 while the No. 2 GTPI bull of the May run was a Supershot son of Larcrest Cardigan (Numero Uno x Larcrest Cale).

Selling as lot 9 in the World Classic Sale is Larcrest Ciabatta-ET, Ciabatta is a GTPI+2473 Numero Uno daughter from Larcrest Cale. Cale is a VG-88-2YR Observer daughter from Larcrest Crimson EX-91 and has already several high daughters including Larcrest Cardigan, the current #4 GTPI heifer in the breed and sold for $ 400,000 in the Party at the Park Sale.
Man-O-Shan x Cale tops Eastern Elite
Larcrest Caterina, a March 2013 Man-O-Shan daughter from Larcrest Cale with a GTPI of +2394 topped the Eastern Elite Sale at $17,000 selling to Oakfield Corners Dairy. In total, more than 70 lots sold averaging $4,540.

Larcrest Cale VG-87 a GTPI+2439 Observer daughter out of Larcrest Crimson has been pictured recently. Cale is also the dam to the #2 and #3 heifers in the breed, Larcrest Cardigan and Larcrest Canto. Both heifers sold recently at the Party at the Park sale for $ 400,000 (Cardigan) and $ 290,000 (Canto).

Crimson continues to climb... #4
The world's favorite Ramos daughter, Larcrest Crimson, continues to climb her way back up the Locator List coming in at #4 with a GTPI of +2348 for December 2012. Crimson is also now Excellent-91 for owners Jon and Ann Larson of Larcrest Holsteins and offspring highlighted a recent very successful Legacy of Larcrest Tag Sale.
Legacy at Larcrest Tag Sale
The Legacy at Larcrest Tag sale was deemed a great success with 27 lots grossing $431,200 for a $15,970 average! One of the first genomic Tag sales ever, lots were dispersed to eight states plus Canada. Topping the list was Larcrest MS Chanda-ET (Robust x VG-87 Chenoa) at $90,000 to Alta Genetics while four other lots sold for $30,000 each. Jon and Ann put together a wonderful display with Cosmo, Crimson and daughters looking their best! Steve Berland, Paul Trapp and Scott Culbertson handled the bids while good food and great weather throughout the 3 day event made for happy buyers everywhere!

The Minnesota Spring Special Sale is underway in Rochester, Minn. and highlighting the sale is Lot 1: Larcrest Callaway-ET the +2234 GTPI Robust granddaughter of Larcrest Cosmopolitan and daughter of Larcrest Comet. Callway sold for $18,700 to Cederwal Farms and was the consignment of Larcrest Holsteins.
